• 30 miles.. temps got over 90 degrees

According to my Garmin 530, it was 77 degrees when I started at 0845
and 98 degrees when I finished at 1140. Three 24 oz bottles of
water/nuun. Two rest stops, one short highway crossing wait, 10 min
    total.

Avg moving speed 11.1... max 16.7 MPH.
Avg cadence 61... max 81 RPM
Avg heart rate 106... max 127 BPM
Avg respiration 27... max 35 BPM.

Not too bad for an 81 year old 200 pounder... I'm pretty much
    recovered from my layoff.

Afterwards, sitting on the truck's tailgate before loading up, I had
my usual after ride snack, an orange and a Yuengling. Protein drink
and pizza were waiting for me at home.

Florida DOT is building a bike/pedestrian bridge for the Suncoast
Trail over state highway 52. I think it's a waste. The street level
crossing has never been a problem. I may still use it, but OTOH, it
might be nice to add a little hill climbing on my rides.

They have gone to considerable trouble and expense to keep the trail
open during construction with about a half mile of asphalt detour next
to the highway. When they're done with this, they're going to do the
same thing for state highway 54, 10 miles to the south.

Great job. Today I managed 42 miles aver speed 13.3 with max and 24.4.
My HR was 96 low as usual max at 143. Resp was 24 max 39. Completely
different than an indoor ride. I did not eat till I got a shower and
morning ritual done. Then had my usual homemade sourdough bread I make
weekly 2 slices with 2 eggs. Huge bowl of cereal and then my tortita
    chips and some candy.

I saved the Youngling for evening before dinner and had a Sierra Nevada
Pale Ale for another, my limit.

Good to move out and be riding

Good speed. You seem to be getting in the groove.
