Support for Ed Ashman: Veteran, Teacher, and Fighter

Our community was shaken this week by a tragic accident. While walking
home from El Toro High School, our beloved substitute teacher Ed Ashman
was struck by an e-motorcycle. Ed is currently in critical condition and
is fighting through a series of severe injuries.

Ed is no stranger to bravery. As a Vietnam Veteran, he spent years in
the cockpit flying jets for the military and serving our country with
honor. After his time in the service, he brought that same dedication to
the classroom. To the students at El Toro High, Mr. Ashman is a familiar
and friendly face. He is a man who chose to spend his retirement years mentoring and supporting the next generation.

Beyond his service and his teaching, Ed is the center of a beautiful
family. He is a devoted husband, a father of three, and a proud
grandfather. Right now, his family is by his side in the hospital
navigating a nightmare that no one could have prepared for.

Ed is in extremely difficult physical shape. The road to recovery will
be incredibly long and expensive. We are coming together to ease the
financial burden on the Ashman family so they can focus entirely on EdAs healing. Your donations will go directly toward emergency medical
expenses, surgeries, long-term intensive care, rehabilitation, and
support for his wife and family during this period of lost income and
    mounting bills.

Any amount, no matter how small, makes a difference in EdAs fight.
Please share this link with the El Toro community, veteran networks, and
on social media. Ed is a fighter, and we know he can feel the support of
the community he has served for so long. Thank you for showing up for a
man who has spent his life showing up for us.
