Well, I don't believe anything posted on websites that call
themselves "True News Media." Especially not when they link to
videos on Facebook.
But lets look what they usually report.
"Terrifying Video Shows Woman Shooting Gas Station Clerk During
Failed Robbery"
"Reality TV Star Jordan Wright Found Dead in Drainage Ditch"
That's the web version of yellow journalism <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yellow_journalism> or what we call "Regenbogenpresse" in Germany.

Did you bother to read the article? Click on the "Read More" button: <https://truenews.media/2026/04/22/woman-narrowly-escapes-death-after-wheelchair-explodes-in-shocking-video/>
"Investigators say the wheelchair had been plugged in using a non-manufacturer charger, which can cause lithium batteries to
overheat or overload. Anaya told reporters she had touched the battery
before the explosion and noticed it was unusually hot, prompting her
to look up what might be wrong."
"They also recommend always using the correct charger..."
When I read something with "shocking" in the title, I usually consider
that article to fabricated sensationalism.
With the small number of aluminum and sodium batteries currently in
use, I would agree that aluminum and sodium batteries almost never
catch fire.
Incidentally, most electric wheel chairs run on 24VDC. The favored
connector is a 3 pin XLR, which is also found on quality audio
equpment. The few chargers that I've seen fairly well built and were
not cheap: <https://www.google.com/search?udm=2&q=wheel%20chair%20battery%20charger> <https://www.powerstream.com/xlr-cable.htm>

I get items with such odd links regularly, only because they
are often the first report (which of course can be
incomplete or misleading).
Here's the local news outlet on the wheelchair:

Ah, thanks. Well, charging the battery of a used electric
wheelchair of unknown origin and with an unknown history indoors
and while you're asleep is, well, brave - or rather, reckless.
Fortunately, however, the woman reacted quickly and
appropriately.

Perhaps. Products of dubious origin can be harmfull. LetrCOs
instead compare three current products from reputable
manufacturers.
A LED bike light like the Sigma Aura 100*) has a 2.000 mAh
battery (== 7.4 Wh), that's less halve of what a modern mobile
phone like a Samsung phone**) has, 5000 mAh (== 18.5 Wh).
An electric wheelchair comes with batteries that often have even
more capacity than typical e-bikes.***)
I doubt that my Aura 100 is any more dangerous than the cell
phone I carry around in my pocket. The Aura 100 stores only about
2.3% of the energy of the aforementioned wheelchair battery.
*) Aura 100
<https://sigma.bike/product/aura-100-blaze-link/>
7.4 Wh
**) S26 Ultra
<https://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_s26_ultra_5g-14320.php>
18.5 Wh
***) Alber e.motion <https://t3.alber.de/en/products/active-drives/e-motion/#technische-daten>
314 Wh
Do you have any reputable source for this claim or is it just more ofI really wish that you would stop trying to pretend that you're an EE - you're not and can't even understand that the "feedback loop" is nothing more than detecting the charging rate as the battery voltage approaches full. All of these batteries do the same thing so the actual voltage of the battery doesn't matter and current flow does.
you talking out of your ass?
which virtually never burn anymore.
Teslas weren't known for spontaneously catching fire to begin with, nor
were EV automobiles in general. Yes, when they do burn it's
exceptionally difficult to put the fire out, but the rate of EV fires is significantly smaller than ICEV fires. People in this forum have shown
you numerous links from multiple different sources backing that fact up,
yet you continue to claim otherwise with absolutely no evidence.
And the new aluminum and sodium solid state batteries almost never do. It takes a direct short for them to burn.
Just about any battery will overheat and possibly catch fire or explode
under a direct short unless there isn't enough capacity to sustain the discharge before it overheats (small coin cells for example).
