• Finally, a short bike ride

I rode just short of 20 miles today and I felt good enough after that
I could easily have done 30. I wasn't nearly has weakened as I thought
I was going to be and the ear issue didn't bother me.

I have an appointment scheduled with an ear surgeon next Wednesday.
I'm not looking forward to that.

That is great news. I really wanted to get out but the thunderstorm was
just too much so was in the basement cave for indoor trainer. All we
have around here lately is very windy and spotting thunderstorms. I am
still trying to see about the assist bars on mine.

I used to have an awful time geting up off the Expedition before I set
up the handlebars to assist me, and that was years ago back when I was
in better shape. I don't know what I'd do now. I am subject to
dizzyness and blackouts if I get up too fast after a ride. I've
learned to sit forward for a while and let my heart rate settle back
to under 90 BPM before I try to get up. I have scars on my shins from
when I fell on the sharp edges of the SPD pedals when I didn't do that
