At the intensity that Pros intake carbs and ride at, they do need to get their guts used to the amount they are consuming for folks going for a ride doesnrCOt need or advised to do so much, but the general the concept that one should eat more than one thinks both for the ride and recovery afterwards!

Gatorade was invented at my alma-mater, and I believe that they still receive some royalty payments.
OTOH, I try to avoid Pepsico products, as well as restaurants that are tied-houses to Pepsi (YUM brands like Taco Bell, KFC, Habit). I try to support the Pepsico boycott that began on December 6 1972.

boycott of Israel. Even now, Pepsi is rare (though available) in Israel,
but is the most popular cola elsewhere in the middle east.
