    First of all it was a beautiful Sunday afternoon with temps in the high 60's and a special birthday day for 16 year old Ava Shelly. Ava has been part of our youth development program here at TCSC since she was 14 years old and Sunday was her 16th birthday. Ava started the morning with her first solo power flight is a Cirrus then came to the gliderport and completed her private glider license to become an official glider pilot. Well, the day was not over yet for AVA, she finished the day doing her solo flight in a R44 helicopter. A great day for Ava and Treasure Coast Soaring Club. Old Bob, The Purist
