AvtoVAZ has lowered the price of the Lada Granta for this, they... removed the air conditioner from the car

Now the car costs 81,000 rubles less 1,017,000 rubles, instead of 1,098,000 rubles with the air conditioner

When will there be a version without an engine and wheels?

    $1.00 is about 78 rubles.

In the early 1990s, AvtoVAZ was working on the export of "Lada" cars. The management dreamed of cooperation with General Motors and of selling cars in Western Europe and North America.

In 1992, prototype models were brought to Canada. To hide the manufacturer, "Chevrolet" badges were stuck on them. These tests are captured in photos from the General Motors archives.

The new models did not go into mass production. Although individual "AvtoVAZ" cars were sold in Canada from 1978 to 1998. But from those incredible adventures of "Zhiguli" in the Canadian wilderness, such funny shots have remained.

Makes sense. You don't need AC in Siberia, but you might need really good heat. I can see a need for standard AC when you're selling to Cuba but that market is gone now.

The engine is the best part of the Lada. It's not very fast, and you might find casting sand in the oil pan for the first few oil changes, but it's impossible to kill and even drunken kulaks can fix it.
