At what point is NASCAR going to change the rules, start ignoring the fact that they have allowed these cars to become rolling billboards, and start throwing these teams out of the races completely before they even begin or suspend them for the next race, based on innumerable inspection failures?
    Just this weekend alone:
    * The 42 and 43 were sanctioned Saturday for illegal rocker assemblies.
    * The 42 joined the 7, 11, 17, and 77 for at least two failed inspections before the race.
    * And, to top it all off, both your "winner" and his "runner-up" were disqualified for an aerodynamic foul found after the race -- pending appeal, as the director has noted.-a And this is the 11 again along with the 18.
So, of the 36 cars in your field today, SIX (the 7, 11, 17, 42, 43, and 77) never should've been in the field at all, and at least FOUR (The 11, 18, 42, and 43) should be suspended going forward.
WHAT.-a THE.-a FREAKING.-a HELL?-a Of what good is enforcing a standard construction of a NASCAR stock car without removal from the race being a damn option, NASCAR?
You are slaves to the corporate sponsors, because if you had a set of balls to actually enforce your rules, this "bend the rules to the point of breaking" motif would end and you'd have more standardized equipment on the tracks!

I'm glad to see someone has an opinion.

I'd like to see pictures of what the two leaders
had on their front aerodynamics that caused the DSQ.

It has driven me up the wall for years to see that the corporate nature of the cars has trumped basically all reasonable rules enforcement in especially the top series.

Now you have, in one weekend:

Two one-race point penalties and suspensions for the crew chiefs.

Six drivers who failed pre-race TWICE.

And then the winner and the runner-up BOTH get DQ'ed for a major aerodynamic foul on the front.

In the same weekend. In the same race.

If that's not: "You've got a fucking enforcement problem and a fucking 'bend the rules' problem" in this top circuit...

Illegal supplied-part modification on the McDowell #34.

    100 points, 100 owner points, four-race crew-chief ban.

That was off a random inspection, and now represents the EIGHTH car out of 36 to fail.

So, let's see, if I were running NASCAR:

At least a two-race parking for the 34 and the 11 (two pre-race failures and the post-race). I could go as far as four for the 34 if you wanted to.

Indianapolis bans for the 18, 42, and 43 (and if you want to consider an additional ban for the 42 and 43, I won't stop you...).

And that's if you don't ban the other several (the 7, 17, and 77) as well.
