Finally official - I got my final issue of AUTOWEEK

A lot of print on paper magazines have been closing down lately.
AUTOWEEK joins them. And long ago, they were a newspaper,
and a lot of them quit also.
I guess you can still read their stuff at
    - autoweek.com

I fondly recall the golden years. It came in newspaper
form every week, give a good coverage of races only about
one week delayed, while the magazines were always a
couple months late. I still have my issues from 1962 and on.

Sounds rather like rCLMotoring NewsrCY in the Uk, which was a weekly in newspaper format. We were lucky in also having rCLAutosportrCY, which was a more expensive glossy.

I was forced to ditch all my magazines and memorabilia when we went to live
    on a boat.

/Autoweek/ started out as a fortnightly motorsports newsletter, titled /Competition Press/. In 1964 distribution was changed to weekly, the
title was changed to /Competition Press & Autoweek/, and vehicle reviews
and industry news were included. The name was shortened to /Autoweek/
    in 1975. [paraphrased from Wikipedia]

Their logo throughout depicted Jean Behra's helmet and goggles. Here's
the very first issue (page 4: "Brooks and Vanwall Win GP of Europe"):
