How much further is F1 prepared to go in destroying the whole point
of F1?
There was almost a time when cars had simple rules to stick to and a
driver - off you go. Not even tyres were an issue back in the day.
But for years it has been more about the car than the driver, then
the tyres and now it's how charged up your triple AAAs are.
Oh but the lead swapped again and again, must be good. No, false
jeopardy and absurdity. I suppose I should be grateful we've not had
water canon wetting the track at random. It's all so false.
Then we come to rules. When the rules for the following year are set,
they should be SET!
Ferrari appear to have a turbo advantage at least at low altitude,
good for them they deserve it.
Merc seem to have another advantage though we don't know exactly what
it is. It conforms to the rules as stated last year that should be it
but no, it must be banned. As soon as we understand it, it will be
banned.
What's the point of pushing the technical limits, might as well put
the same scalextric motor in all and be done with it. It would
delight the people with the CO2 religion that have brought us to this
new level of absurdity. They can go off and worry about cow farts.
Plus, when you fall asleep watching, there would be no noise to wake
you.
Bob.
