As reported on Monday when details of the Austrian's impending exit
first emerged, Red Bull CEO Oliver Mintzlaff is understood to be keen
for a fresh start for its F1 teams, with Marko's departure, which
follows Horner's sacking in the summer, part of the new look.
Red Bull formally confirmed the news on Tuesday. Mintzlaff, the
company's chief executive of corporate projects and investments, said in
a statement that it had been Marko's decision to step down.
"Helmut approached me with the wish to end his role as motorsport
advisor at the end of the year," said Mintzlaff.

Glad to see the back of him. Since the news broke, he's been shit-stirring
in the press - saying Horner was a liar (colour me shocked!), amongst
other stuff. I reckon he'll not see that 10 million dollar golden
handshake, he's certainly already broken any NDA or exit agreement. Maybe he's already got so much money he doesn't care about the odd 10 million
here or there?
