I'm hoping the new rules pushes the dial back a bit further towards
driver skill. And for the Max fans, I'm not suggesting his victories are
all about the car any more than I think the Hamilton or Vettel eras were
all about the car, but I do think that for quite a few years that the
best driver in the wrong car had no chance to realistically compete.

A bit of a levelling of the playing field (if it happens, and that's
not assured) could be quite interesting.

I'm an eternal optimist!
