Lando went way too hard of the defense against Max and it cost him.

Yeah, he shagged it but I did appreciate his attempt to muscle Max out of
the way - it was a worthy attempt at retaining the lead! And, ultimately, outscoring Oscar was the goal today more so than outscoring Max, and
mission accomplished. Championship has been Lando's to lose for a good
couple of races, but this feels like it's as good as done now. Will be
well deserved if he does cruise to victory but I do hope Oscar has a bit
of fight left in him and it ends up decided on track in the last race.

We used to use IRC for live chat. Alas I rarely watch live now (maybe
about a third of the races).

I don't get to watch much of the live as well because I'm a night shift
nurse. Last night was a rare treat to see it all go down. The next time I
can watch a race I am going to start a thread 12-24 hours before and see
if we can get a discussion going.

Live posting's a nice idea, but not practical for me as I only access
Usenet on a vintage Mac that's tucked away around the corner from my TV -
so I'd have to keep walking away from the race to refresh the group and
    post to a live thread...

If you've got a phone younger than a couple of decades old, then IRC
should be a workable option. There are even web interfaces to it if you
can't find a client that's convenient. We just need to decide on a
network to use: I think we used to use IRCNet, so I've just created
a channel #rasf1 there if anyone wants to join.
