• Tubes, eh?

Odd how this once useful newsgroup is now filled with complete rubbish
posts. Not a one since 2003 having to do with tubes.

Here's one that DOES have to do with tubes...

I've recently serviced an OLD Fender Bassman Amplifier - all new caps
and output tube driver tube plate load resistors and output tube grid
    to negative bias supply resistors.

The unit has its ORIGINAL TUBES, including RCA 6L6GC outputs and mostly
RCA driver and preamp tubes. It works remarkably with a solid 54WRMS
    at a surprising 2.20%THD at 1kHz. It's spec is about 5%THD at 50WRMS
    into 4 ohms.

The output tubes show zero signs of gas.

This unit carries a stamped production date from February 1967.
