They're not censoring anything. They just put some clothes on the
women, which as the owners of the artwork they had every right to
do. The original artist himself seems to approve of the changes.

Frankly, it's a little silly that so many people are yelling
"censorship" and "prudish" and more, over women wearing clothing.
If you want art where the men wear armor and the women wear
bikinis, there's already plenty of it. :-D

    What did you watch?

I watched the most recent Futurama finale. It was almost
unbelievably bad. The intended jokes were mostly just random
    silly things.

It's not the clothing or lack thereof. It's the constant re-writing of history and alteration of things people grew up with and love that's the problem. This constant revision of history to match 'progressive' ideology is what people
    are sick of.

I've told the story before of taking the Warner Bros. Studio Tour and their picture car museum, where they have iconic vehicles used in movies and TV on display-- everything from the various iterations of the Batmobile, the Scooby Doo Mystery Machine, Austin Powers' Mini, etc. The General Lee from THE DUKES OF HAZZARD is one of the exhibits. (There were actually dozens of General
Lees, most of which were destroyed in the various stunts on the show. The one in the museum is the 'hero' car that was kept pristine for closeups.)

Just about everyone noticed that the car's most memorable feature-- the Confederate Flag on the roof-- had been painted over. When someone asked about it, saying the missing flag made him doubt the car's authenticity, the tour guide told us that he'd been officially instructed to tell people that it was never actually there (even though you can still see hints of it beneath the orange paint and millions of people remember it and know they aren't all experiencing a shared hallucination) but that the real reason is that a previous guest said she was offended by it, so studio immediately decided to rewrite that bit of TV history. So yes, we've come to the point where museum curators are defacing historical exhibits to cater to politically correct feelz.

Back in 2014, AutoTrader used the two actors who played Bo and Luke Duke in a series of ads and the weird camera angles and strange edits they had to do to avoid showing the roof of the car were both hilarious and sad.

I'm surprised they haven't CGI'd out the flag on the car in the actual re-runs of the show at this point. Or even worse, changed it to a rainbow flag.

    Reel Rivals
ThererCOs this cute, silly girl who does silly videos that show up on the Facebook, Trippi Bri, who said she was on the show, so I checked it out.
OMG itrCOs horrible. ItrCOs a Miami based fishing reality show where all the contestants are rCLinfluencersrCY
The host is a fatter uglier stupider version of Donna Noble. The
competition had such a poor grasp of English that I think he may actually
have been borderline retarded. Trippi on the other hand, isnrCOt anything
like her joke, video persona, and claims to have a college science degree
but gave it up to be a penthouse pet. (they still publish penthouse?).
Despite the big oaf competing against her blatantly cheating, she won.
Which means sherCOll be back. I wonrCOt.

LANTERNS episode seven. ItrCOs the worst one since episode six. The fire
stick insisted I watch it. It was boring, but at least it didnrCOt make any sense. Why the hell donrCOt they just tell people that the halogram (ha) battery is about to die and they can talk about everything else after they address that? And why does the sheriff have to go with them? And why
doesnrCOt he keep the stuff from the storage locker in the pocket dimension?

And then to further punish me, it auto played GREEN LANTERN (the extended
cut). On continuous repeat no less. I donrCOt even know how to make HBO/Max
do that. It didnrCOt make any sense either. ThererCOs 10 minutes of flashbacks that they added to when he was a kid where he and Carol Ferris are the same
age even though herCOs 10 years older than her in the modern day stuff. ItrCOs OK except for the cast and the script and it being filmed so dark I
couldnrCOt tell what was going on. He keeps charging his ring randomly
without having the battery. And how come the evil parallax was able to go around destroying worlds before it escaped? And why does he go to Sinestro
and beg for permission to save the Earth? He doesnrCOt need permission or anything else from the lantern corp. And why did they make a point of
saying that his mask would automatically disappear when he didnrCOt need to keep his identity secret and then it doesnrCOt?

History hasn't been rewritten. Nobody's saying it was always like
that. This is a new version of the artwork, for a new edition.

I don't care for the entirety of D&D 5e, which appears to be set
in the world of a children's television show, but I'm not trying
to make it stop existing. I just play OSRIC.

    This
constant revision of history to match 'progressive' ideology is what people are sick of.

It isn't all that progressive. The picture most people are
complaining about has been changed so that the woman is wearing a
mail shirt, instead of senselessly exposing her chest with a low
    neckline. That's all.

He said he was. Specifically, he said that both his daughters
liked the new version better, and he commented that tastes had
changed a great deal since he drew it.

IMO, it's not so much that tastes have changed as that the
original designers never considered that girls might want to

useful occasionally, and this was assumed at such a low level
that nobody thought to question it.

Not if they keep altering it.

So look at the old stuff, or commision some new stuff to the old
taste, or head over to Nightcafe and tell an AI to make some
sexed-up female warriors. Really, dude, there is *so* *much*
artwork of women carrying weapons and wearing minimal clothing.

Don't you think that's a silly way to go into battle? A low-cut
chainmail bikini top might be a fun way for an adventurer to hit
the tavern, but it's no protection from orcs' blades.

LANTERNS episode seven. ItrCOs the worst one since episode six. The fire stick insisted I watch it. It was boring, but at least it didnrCOt make any sense. Why the hell donrCOt they just tell people that the halogram (ha) battery is about to die and they can talk about everything else after they address that? And why does the sheriff have to go with them? And why doesnrCOt he keep the stuff from the storage locker in the pocket dimension?

It wasn't a pocket dimension. It was a portal to another planet. That
was the planet the Man Hunter wiped out before coming to Earth.

If the items in the storage locker were left on the alien planet then
the person or persons who were already on the alien planet would take
the items. It would also pose a problem for anyone from this planet who
would have no idea the items were needed. The poncho for example was to protect from the contaminated rain. Obviously Hal himself would know
that, but it doesn't do him any good if he travels to the planet only to
find the poncho is no longer where he left it.
