This discussion by journalists Brian Lilley, Warren Kinsella, and their
editor Adrienne Batra nicely summarizes the problem Canada has had with anti-Semitism for the last few decades.

I'm sure there's always been *some* anti-Semitism in this country, just
as there has been in every country, but it's gotten a lot more overt.
Back in the day, about the worse it got was incidents were someone went
into the Jewish cemetery and scrawled swastikas on the gravestones or
the odd anti-Semitic remark. Now, bullets flying at Jewish buildings are
far becoming the norm and the anti-Semitic remarks have been replaced by frequent takeovers of Jewish neighbourhoods by Muslim mobs screaming anti-Jewish epithets.
Our politicans are doing way too little about any of this as the people
in the video observe. I don't see it changing federally with the
Liberals still in power and Pierre Poilievre and the Conservative Party
have been nearly invisible since the last election. The new leader of
the NDP, himself Jewish, is among the worst offenders. Doug Ford is
doing some good things but Olivia Chow, poised to be re-elected next
month since her two main rivals are essentially splitting the
opposition, has also been useless at best, counter-productive at worst.
