I have no idea why the fools in charge stupidly insist on changing the animation style when they move a TV show to "the big screen". People (especialyl little kids in this case) know what the original is and
should get the same in the movie, not get something different. At least
they didn't idiotically try to make it live-action, but then it IS
Disney, so that may well happen at some point too. :-\
'The Bluey Movie' First Look: Bluey and Her Family
Hit the Big Screen With New 3D Animation Style
--------------------------------------------------
Disney and BBC Studios have released the first look at
"The Bluey Movie," marking the first time the animated children's
series will be adapted for the big screen.
Premiering in theatres Aug. 6, 2027, the film continues Bluey's
adventures with her Mum, Dad and little sister, Bingo. Melanie
Zanetti will reprise her role as Bluey's mom, Chilli, from the
series, with Dave McCormack returning to voice Bluey's dad,
Bandit.
The biggest difference from the trailer and the show is a fresh
3D animation style, in which Bluey and Bingo play a game of "Keepy
Uppy" with a balloon.
Series creator Joe Brumm writes and directs the movie, with
Richard Jeffery ("Bluey" Seasons 1-3) co-directing. Amber
Naismith ("The Lego Movie") serves as producer, and Joff Bush
provides the score for the Ludo Studio production.aExecutive
producers include Brumm, Charlie Aspinwall and Daley Pearson for
Ludo Studio and Justine Flynn for BBC Studios. President of Disney
Live Action and 20th Century Studios David Greenbaum will oversee
the film for Disney. BBC Studios finances and licenses the film
with theatrical distribution through Walt Disney Studios.
"Bluey" first premiered in 2018 and has since transformed into a
global phenomenon, becoming the most watched series worldwide on
Disney+ in 2024 and receiving an International Emmy Kids Award and
BAFTA Children's and Young People's Award.
Alan Bergman and Dana Walden, the co-chairs of Disney Entertainment,
previously said the series has united "families everywhere with its
heartfelt stories of play, imagination and connection. We are so
proud to expand upon our relationship with BBC Studios to bring the
magic of 'Bluey' to the big screen - for real life! - and we are
deeply grateful to Joe Brumm for creating a world that continues to
inspire and delight families everywhere."
