    What did you watch?

I tried another Adults recently, but it was awful and I turned it off.
I'm not sure if I'm too old to get it or they used up all their humor in
    the pilot.

I ended up just watching American Dad reruns.

I made through episode three last night.

Also watched SUPERGIRL, which was awful. Not only was she de-powered
throughout most of the movie**-- who wants to go to see a movie about
SUPERGIRL only to find out it should have just been called GIRL?-- but she was a thoroughly unlikeable and repugnant character. She was the girl everyone
used to know at some point during high school or college who immediately got sloppy drunk at every party and then tried to pick fights with people. No one liked her and no one is going to like this version of Kara Zor-El, either. Which is a problem if she's the lead character in your movie.

**This was also an issue with the most recent iteration of Superman. He spent most of his movie either de-powered or getting his ass kicked by people/beings who he should have been able to turn to paste with one punch.

Next up was the horror movie THEY WILL KILL YOU, recommended by Ian. I only made it to the the halfway mark before starting to nod off-- not because the movie was boring but because it was past 2AM-- so I'll have to finish it tonight. The part that I saw was pretty good, though. Intriguing premise, so I hope the movie follows through on it.

Plex on demand has it for like 20 bucks. Apple TV has it for 25 bucks. So
does Amazon video and fandango at home. ThatrCOs about 30 bucks more than IrCOd pay.

Hence why I am waiting for it to show up on HBO Max. If I am not going

That's a pretty good question. I haven't gotten to "House of the Dragon" season 3 or "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms" yet. Pretty much the rest
of what HBO puts out for TV series doesn't interest me. And they only
seem to get maybe half a dozen (new) movies a month that I might want to watch.

However, HBO Max has probably the best movie library of anyone - if I
wanted to watch really old (B&W) movies, they are probably the best for
    that. FWIW.

That's whatever movie libraries purchased or currently rented on behalf
of TCM to pretend that Max offers more titles than it atually does.
There has long been suspicion that the corportate parent wants to
debrand TCM as they tried to do with HBO and have done with Cinemax for
one aggregate streaming service. They'd love to get off satellite
entirely and just fuck over cable distribution. And fuck movie theater exhibition too.

Streaming is the inferior distribution because it's so damn inefficient,
but it breaks all the old contracts, their actual motive.

TCM is kept alive via industry pressure because they have celebrity
director and actor guests blather on about their historical movie
knowledge, which ain't much. I don't mind that they discuss their
    preferences like ordinary movie goers.
