    Original NCIS cast member Michael Weatherly returns to NCIS this fall to reprise his role as fast-talking, film-obsessed very Special Agent Anthony rCLTonyrCY DiNozzo for the 2026-2027 season. And it isnrCOt a single guest appearance, but rather a season-long arc.

    Most recently, Weatherly starred in the Paramount+ spinoff NCIS: Tony &
    Ziva, which only ran for one season, but it did feature the character
    living in Paris with his ex Ziva (Cote de Pablo) and their daughter Tali,
    where he owned a private security firm. So, how the series will relocate
    him to D.C. for the upcoming arc is part of the mystery that he will be
    back to investigate.

    Weatherly was an original cast member of NCIS, part of the two-part
    backdoor pilot on Jag, and then played the role of Tony DiNozzo for 13
    seasons rCo more than 300 episodesrCo before exiting.

    Weatherly will join current cast members Sean Murray, Wilmer Valderrama,
    Brian Dietzen, Diona Reasonover, Katrina Law and Gary Cole.

    NCIS recently celebrated its 500th episode and is currently the
    longest-running primetime drama on CBS and the No. 1 TV franchise globally.

    NCIS will return for its 24th season this fall on CBS in its Tuesday at 8
    p.m. ET/PT timeslot.
