Sounds like the book is just a lazy knock-off / cash-in of "Twilight",

whether she is a prize or the master of her own destiny.
Starz has also optioned the two sequels alongside the original
novel. Palphreyman published The Night Prince in 2025 and will
release The Wolf Queen this November. She originally published
The Wolf King in 2023 as an indie release.
Tanya Saracho will serve as showrunner and executive producer on
the project. Palphreyman also executive produces the series
adaptation. Saracho previously created and ran Vida, which aired on
Starz for three seasons from 2018 to 2020.
Kathryn Busby, president of original programming at Starz, expressed
enthusiasm for the pairing. She stated, "With the rich world Lauren
Palphreyman has created in The Wolf King and our longstanding
relationship with Tanya, we're excited to bring this saga to screen
with all the heat and heart it deserves." Busby also praised
Saracho's instinct for sexy and nuanced storytelling.
Saracho shared her personal connection to the source material in a
statement. She said, "Coming back home to Starz with The Wolf King
is a full-circle moment for me." Saracho revealed the book had been
her obsession since she first discovered it as an indie release.
She added that adapting it for the network that housed Vida for
three seasons feels destined. Saracho called Palphreyman's series
an exciting departure from her typical genre work.
