Ncuti Gatwa to Host Saturday Night Live UK Later This Month
-----------------------------------------------------------
Fifteenth Doctor actor, Ncuti Gatwa, is to host the UK version of
popular entertainment show, Saturday Night Live.
The show has a series of co-hosts heading episodes, supported by
a regular team of comedians, and Gatwa will take centre stage on
16th May 2026. That is also expected to be the last episode in
the first series of Saturday Night Live UK.
The comedy variety show premiered on Sky One on 21st March 2026
with Tina Fey hosting; subsequent hosts have included Riz Ahmed,
Jamie Dornan, and Joy to the World star, Nicola Coughlan. The
latter also appeared in the opening monologue from episode one.
Gatwa will be appearing in an episode also featuring music from
Holly Humberstone, who won the 2022 Brit Award for Rising Star.
Though Gatwa is the first Doctor to star in the show, the most
recent episode of Saturday Night Live UK showed Aimee Lou Wood
(Sex Education) in a Doctor Who sketch, where she appears as the
companion, alongside Hammed Animashaun as the Doctor.
Doctor Who showrunner, Russell T Davies, reacted to the sketch:
"SNL:UK! We saw it live in studio tonight, one of the best nights
ever! What a cast, what a crew, what a production. They even did
a Doctor Who sketch! "Doctor, what the f*** is that?" I love this
show, it's wildly funny, and so British, swinging from satire to
the absurd to echoes of Vic & Bob, and sometimes, like with the
Pig Board tonight, there's a glimpse of something strange and dark
and old lurking underneath. Genius! An absolute triumph."

I don't think Gatwa killed Doctor Who. He had Doctor potential, IMO.
It's the scripts, and the general show direction, which are killing it.

Obviously, having the 15th Doctor in a dress-type costume in
one episode, a skirt in another, and kiss another man
in another episode (etc.)
RTD didn't do that. It was style
over substance. So for me the buck stops with him, not Ncuti
Gatwa.

I think 'they' would call some of Ncuti's outfits in the show
"gender pushing"... but I wouldn't blame Ncuti Gatwa for the
damage that was done to the show. Most of that was down to the
writing and it not being good enough to grab or hold its

The writing was s*t because it was being used to sexually groom
children. What degenerate piece of excrement running the BBC decided
that teaching underage children about incels, involuntary celibacy, >transgenderism, and how to bully and sexually harass those that didn't
want anything to do with you, was appropriate for this age group or a
98.5% heterosexual audience which was predominately male?
Doctor Whoke failed because it turned the Doctor into a woman who was a >lesbian and was used to attack the audience with, and then into an >effeminate homosexual male who served the same purpose, as did his gay >predecessor who was also used to trans other people's kids like he did
his own.
Oh, and then there's the explicit bestiality which is the reason why
Disney+ has still not shown The Ware Between the Land and the Sea.

Anyone with any intelligence would have told the BBC there was no
audience for this disgusting, sick, and degenerate form of writing.
