Always thought the show would have been far better if they had further
explored the alternate timelines, using 3-4 episode arcs or even entire
    seasons set in the alt-timelines.

By going with "monster of the week" type episodes with the characters
jumping to the next timeline at the end of each episode, they quickly
burned through all the cool timelines and the show became stupid as
the writers struggled to find storylines.

Yep, and then they brought in the Klingons ... errr, "Kromaggs", and it
    got even worse

I enjoyed that show (which was mostly shot in Vancouver) though it was surprising they used the dome at Queen Elizabeth Park (which is a
fairly impressive arboretum) as the Kromagg HQ.

(Obviously you can figure out what "KroMagg" is based on but I was
astonished just how many people didn't - think real hard now: a race
of human beings that wasn't Home Sapiens - hmmm - there were of course
several sub-species of Homo Sapiens that didn't survive to the present
day over the last million years so it's surprising more of them
    haven't been used as villains)
