Star Trek Starfleet Academy Season 1 Episode 8 review of the Alex
Kurtzman Paramount+ streaming series. Focusing on young Star Trek
cadets learning to be crew and captains, this episode focuses on
musical theatre and trauma. While the teenagers have little problems
in Star Trek that doesn't stop them making up fake ones to complain
about. Is Star Trek Starfleet Academy worth watching?

I have to wonder if there will be a plot twist that the academy is
really a mental hospital and all the "adventures" are psychotic
hallucinations of the "students"
I only watched the premiere, but I gather it's gotten a lot worse quite >rapidly.
You know how bad it is? Their writing isn't consistant within the same ep,
not to mention between different ones.
For example, in this one, the students are traumatized over the death of a classmate they didn't like, even though that was a couple eps ago. They all went on "Spring Break" in the previous week and seemed fine and at the beginging of this one, when in the Captains log, Captain Mumbles says their fine.
I also found it odd that they were more concerned about the retarded fat hologram and not once mentioned the dead student, who we only saw a couple times and they didn't like in the first place.
