Five SF Works About Building a New Nation

Sure, societal collapse is inherently dramatic but nation-founding
    can be exciting too!

One for five this time, "Nor Crystal Tears" is a great book.

I also liked that one. It's been a long time, but I remember Ryo.

It has been so long since I read that book, maybe 40 years, that I
cannot remember the details. Thanks for the remembering.

Some years ago I reviewed Rob J. Hayes grimdark pirate
    dulogy "Best Laid Plans".

In the event I did not like it at all, but it did cover the founding
    of the pirate kingdom.

Perry Rhodan, of course, founds a new (arguably traitorous) nation
    in the Gobi desert.

The first thing that the plot synopsis of The City Under Ground
reminded me of was Logan's Run!

Hmm. I don't think it's analogous to the famous "Treason" quote
since The Third Power was exogenous to the US. Although I suppose
it ceased to matter in the end as the formerly soverign states
    eventually signed on.
