Imagine a story/world in which a character points out
to the main character that the word 'conservativism'
bears visual resemblance to the word 'conserving'
(after all, look at the first seven characters of
each), followed by the main character somehow
concluding that the point being made was
about yet another word 'conservation' -
a word that wasn't even mentioned in
what the main character replied to -
and then the main character goes on
to openly wonder if it's the other
character in the scene whose first
language might not be English.
Such is the world speculated - aka
imagined - by new and upcoming
author Lawrence DrCOOliveiro!
That's clearly a pretty weak story
line, because anyone with eyes and
half a brain can see the visual
connection between the word
'conservativism' and the
word 'conserving'.
*But*... the plot thickens in that
it turns out the main character
and the author are THE SAME
PERSON!
Whoa! Holy creative twists,
Rec.arts.sf.written Man!
