I've been listening to a lot of European progressive rock lately
(Riverside, Flower Kings, Within Temptation, Marillion). Many of which were
pleasant youtube recommendations.
I was fortunate to see Flower Kings at NearFest 2003, as I didn't know
much about them before then. They were wonderful.
Roine Stolt is a fine guitarist and songwriter.
I should check out more Riverside & Within Temptation - I've only heard
1-2 of each. For some reason my ears don't care much for Marillion.
Yes, it took a few listens to appreciate Marillion's style.
As for Riverside, I highly recommend this show (I haven't been able
to score a copy of the DVD yet). This was the video that
YT had recommended that turned me on to Riverside.

For WT, this live show is entertaining both both
visually and audibly.

Older european prog like _Focus_ and _Camel_ are also
quite good.
