    Ocean this year.rCY

rCLThough it was previously a common belief that global warming would lead
to more frequent and powerful hurricanes, experts warned the lack of hurricanes was also the result of climate change and that Republicans

rCLrCYThe pleasant hurricane season Florida is having is directly caused by global warming, and we are all going to die as a result,rCY said protester Byron Bridges. rCLAmerica must mandate the use of electric cars

rCLAccording to climate activists, no hurricanes might seem good until you realize fewer people are being killed by them. rCLWith no hurricanes

That seems to be a site for satirical right wing views based on AI manufactured photos. If you think that this is real stuff no wonder
you are distracted enough to vote for a 2nd rate Reality Show Star
now a Felon on 34 counts and NY State may lock him up once this term
is over. He stiffed (defaulted) on payments to contractors, imported
workers and his taxes. And his sex crimes may be heinous and without
number which is why the Epstein Files are still largely hidden from

Now you are quoting a satire site?

    Yes, he is.

The Babylon Bee is explicitly a satire site, sort of a
    right-wing version of The Onion.

I'm of a generous disposition, and I'm pretty damn sure Lynn is quite
aware of this, and is quoting it humorously, as a troll against
    climate change.

I'll note that the White House has non-ironically thanked Trump for
the low number of hurricanes this year so far, with the implication
    that he's somehow responsible.

'Rapid Response 47' is an official White house twitter channel.

What next 'Trump personally causes Sun rise each morning.'?

Ah yes, the Useful Idiot. Sigh.

Of course, El Nino has nothing to do with it.

At least it is an intentional satire this time.

Not very good, though. The Miami bit is too crude, a more subtle
approach would be far more amusing.

thanks to the antics of Epstien, Trumo, & Co., plus the 72-virgins-in-paradise mob, thererCOs a shortage of virgins just now anyway.

Obviously you have not been paying attention. The Pacific Ocean is
warmer overall and over a wider area than ever measured before. The heat
map is downright scary. 1982 didn't look like this. 1998 didn't look
like this. 2016 didn't look like this.

I don't really mind science coming up with two new Weather Gods, but I

El Nino is when the ocean is at higher than normal temps. La Nina is
when the ocean is at lower than normal temps. There is an oscillation
that I don't understand yet, but I haven't really looked into it yet. I
did some work looking at historical rainfall and El Nino/La Nina for
that year, and am seeing at best a weak correlation EXCEPT for Very
Strong El Nino where we get a shitload of rain. Every time.

The only problem is that I am not sure the year being measured for the
El Nino affect is the same year that is being measured for rainfall. I
believe our rain year starts in October. The El Nino measurement seem to
    start in June.

In the 1982-1983 year, a bunch of people were killed in mud slides here.

Just last week there were -three- active tropical storms off the
west coast of Mexico, Hurricane Lowell skirted the northwest hawaii islands causing significant flooding in Kauai.

Looking at the map today, the entire equitorial belt across the
    Pacific is one big storm.
