    Stargate was one of the most successful Sci-fi franchises of all time,
    with multiple successful spinoffs. After Amazon acquired the IP it
    seemed inevitable that they would make a new TV show, and getting the
    original creators, writers and actors on board was an obviously good
    idea. So for Amazon Prime Video to cancel Stargate because it would
    have appealed to dedicated fans seems like madness. Would Stargate have
    been worth watching?
