    Reason they won't just cancel it, there are likely termination fees
    built into the contract with secret hideout. Same reason they are just
    going to let the contract run out rather than ditch them now. They'd
    probably have to fork out 150 million just to get rid of him and face potential lawsuits that could stall future Trek projects.

    Allot less of a headache just to wait until august or whenever the
    contract comes up for renewal and say 'no thanks' and then never touch
    Secret Hideout characters and plot points again so no royalties or
    credits are owed.
