The Mandalorian & Grogu
Director Jon Favreau took to the stage at CinemaCon to unveil
the final trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu. He told
audiences that Star Wars sparked his love for films, recalling
how he initially saw it with his father. The actor-filmmaker
further stated, "I hope that our enjoyment and excitement and
love ofaStar Warsatranslates to fans seeing it for the first

After showing it, Favreau treated CinemaCon audiences to the
first 17 minutes of the movie. The footage opens with a
message about the Galactic Empire's fall and the New Republic
starting to reunite, while Djarin hunts down Imperial fugitives
in the Outer Rim (via Deadline).
It cuts to a tense meeting between Imperial figures. The leader
discusses protecting the council while also noting how the
Empire's lack of support has led to things becoming expensive.
He then announces that he is raising their tribute.
A council member opposes this, complaining that trade routes
are facing trouble from pirates and thieves. This prompts the
leader to fatally shoot him before encouraging everyone to find
solutions to their problems.
Djarin enters the scene. He dispatches multiple armed soldiers
before leaving, along with Grogu, through a snowy mountain on a
robotic creature. He later meets Ward, who stresses that their
mission isn't about revenge but preventing another war and
protecting what the Rebellion fought for.
Ward then sends Djarin on a mission to find a missing commander,
requiring him to meet with Rotta the Hutt. The Mandalorian shares
his hesitation, to which the former responds, "You don't want the
job, I got nothing for you."
