Jacob Elordi & Margaret Qualley Star
in Ridley Scott's The Dog Stars Trailer

Disney has officially released the first trailer for The Dog Stars,
Ridley Scott's upcoming post-apocalyptic sci-fi movie. The film is
set to release on August 28, 2026.

"Hig's wife is gone, his friends are dead, and he lives in the
hangar of a small abandoned airport with his dog, Jasper, and a
mercurial, gun-toting misanthrope named Bangley," reads the film's
official synopsis. "But when a random transmission beams through
the radio of his 1956 Cessna, the voice ignites a hope deep inside
him that a better life exists outside their tightly controlled
perimeter. Risking everything, he flies past his point of no return
and follows its static-broken trail, only to find something that is
both better and worse than anything he could ever hope for."

Who is in The Dog Star Stars trailer?
The Dog Stars is led by an all-star cast featuring Jacob Elordi,
Margaret Qualley, Josh Brolin, Guy Pearce, and Benedict Wong. Scott
directs the film from a screenplay written by Mark L. Smith and
Christopher Wilkinson. The film is based on the 2012 novel by the
same name by author Peter Heller.

Elordi is coming off his critically praised role as The Creature in
Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein and Wuthering Heights. Qualley is
coming off of her critically acclaimed role in the Oscar-nominated
horror film The Substance, as well as 2025's Honey Don't! and Blue
Moon. Brolin is also coming off a successful 2025, having starred in
Weapons, The Running Man, and Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery.
