    I Saw Her Flutter By.
    #####################

    Gentle, colourful, silent and lovely
As beautiful as a sunset in Summer
    She wafted among the weeds
    Seeking breakfast.

    I could have killed her.
    Smashed her.
    Four milliard years of Evolution
    Smeared into mush and filth
    With one movement.

They can murder millions from their chairs.
With their aeroplanes, missiles, pilots, generals
    And policies.
    They can eradicate entire cultures
    Erase millennia of Histories,
With one ill-tempered yell of jealousy
    At not getting one.

    I have no right.

    I have the power
Yet no right to take her tiny life.

    Nor do they.

    - J.

    Too subtle for them?
