Crispy Pro, who only two years ago made a video on "The Rise of Doctor
Who" to celebrate the new era, has given up hope and converted. He's now >planning a retrospective on the classic era, focusing on one Doctor per >week.
Here's his essay commenting on the new era's disappointments:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SVdghltGB70
He makes some points which remind me of hbomberguy's notorious video
essay trashing Stephen Moffat. IMO that essay is pretty harsh, but it
has a great basic point: If a show's all hype and no payoff, the effect
of the hype wears off. This is similar to what Crispy Pro is saying
about the RTD2 era.
I'm going to sub and follow his retrospective.
