For a bold new direction Electric Entertainment could just come out

But their television series *The Librarians* is an example of what I

The last thing "Doctor Who" needs is yet more American interferrence -
just look at the horrible mess trying to appease Disney caused.
"The Librarians" is nothing like "Doctor Who" though, and trying to
make them similar would be a disaster.
I liked "The Librarians" series, although it did quickly fall off the
rails (like most American shows) and I bought the three released
novels. I haven't *yet* seen the earlier "The Librarian" movies nor the
more recent "The Librarians - The Next Chapter" series.

"The Librarians" TV series then took over in 2014, with Noah Wyle, Bob >Newhart, and Jane Curtin briefly reprising their movie roles alongside
new characters.
The new spin-off "The Librarians - The Next Chapter" took over in 2025
with another set of new characters, with a couple of the first TV
series' actors also briefly appearing. Unfortunately this one sounds
like it suffers from the usual "Political Correctness" silliness with
one of the characters being a Knight of Camelot, but of course is a
woman (the ridiculous excuse is that her role as a knight had been
erased from our history by Lancelot). :-(

There is so little actual creative talent these days, that pretty much
every company is reviving the old stuff, almost all of it far worse
then the otiginal version. They've even been reviving the revivials - >superhero have been "revived" so may times in differeing versions that >nobody now knows what they even are any more. :-(
Not just the entertainment industry either, Just look at things like
the new "VW Beetle", the new "Mini", the new "C64" computer, the
multiple comic book versions of Spider-Man, etc.
Thankfully some people are - hopefully - beginning to see some sense
with some of the revivials being cancelled ("Stargate" being one
example).

Yeah. The word seems to be that RTD didn't take many of the
"notes" presented by Disney on board, and their lack of control
over the direction the show was taking was one of the things
that irked Disney. The leaks suggest they wanted more input.
The fact Disney are in no rush to show TWBTLATS probably backs
this up to some extent. As clearly Disney are not impressed with
it. They paid money towards producing it, yet have no interest
in showing it!
The main problems with S1 and S2 were not Disney but RTD
himself.

I think... the BBC would favour BBC Studios as their first
preference for producers of a new "Doctor Who" series... BUT,
a decent bid from a reputable production company, with plenty of
000's on it, might make the -u signs flicker in their eyes!
Either way, I'm still not expecting to hear much before 2027.

We reviewed TWBTLATS here at the time... go back and you'll find
out what we thought of it. I can't speak for everyone here but I
think the general RADW consensus was that it wasn't very good.
If you can't be bothered going back through the RADW archive
I'll give you a concise review of the main bits of it. (Just for
you.)
Humans are bad to reptile-fish people... reptile-fish people
attack mankind... mankind fights back. Man meets female
reptile-fish person... (this is where it's going to get
fishy)... female reptile-fish person doesn't like mankind...
then she does... man likes female reptile-fish person too... man
fucks female reptile-fish person... they fall in love... there's
a small bit of emotional disturbance in this "I love you" thing
(Isn't there always?!)... but, they weather the storm and the
female reptile-fish person and the man swim off together in the
deep blue sea to live happily ever after in some happy undersea
reptile-fish place. The End.

reptile-fish person doesn't like mankind... then she does
Can't make up her mind!! Typical.
... man likes female reptile-fish person too... man fucks
female reptile-fish person
Why Not?? Any Port in a Storm.
... they fall in love
Is this where the music starts up??
... there's a small bit of emotional disturbance in this "I
love you" thing (Isn't there always?!)
Yeap!
... but, they weather the storm and the female reptile-fish
person and the man swim off together in the deep blue sea to
live happily ever after in some happy undersea reptile-fish
place. The End.
To be resurrected next year!

The fact Disney are in no rush to show TWBTLATS probably backs
this up, to some extent. As clearly Disney are not impressed with
it. They paid money towards producing it, yet have no interest in
showing it!
I seem to recall that TWBTLATS has been shown somewhere (U.K. and
Ireland, maybe).
UK. On BBC1 and the BBC iPlayer. (Where it is still available for
viewing.)
Does anyone from those parts that DID watch it want to give the
group a bit of a run down, please??
We reviewed TWBTLATS here at the time... go back and you'll find out
what we thought of it. I can't speak for everyone here but I think
the general RADW consensus was that it wasn't very good.
If you can't be bothered going back through the RADW archive I'll
give you a concise review of the main bits of it. (Just for you.)
Oh!! How SWEET of you, Blueshirt.
Humans are bad to reptile-fish people
That'd b right.
... reptile-fish people attack mankind
The Bastards!!
... mankind fights back. Man meets female reptile-fish person
Is she a good-looker??

Humans hate difference.

The Bastards!!
I'm Irish. We always support the underdog against the oppressor.
So, go Sea Devils! Give it to them.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
[Digression]
The actress who plays the fish-reptile seductress has been in
"Doctor Who" (as the sister of Martha Jones) and when not made
up as a fish-reptile she is reasonably good looking.
You wouldn't kick her out of bed for eating crackers anyway...

Yeah. I think he made her laugh. That's what usually works.
I won't mention the dirty talk they engaged in. It all got a
bit salty for 9pm in the evening.

Why Not?? Any Port in a Storm.
It was a stormy situation.

Is this where the music starts up??
It's where most sane people went, "Yuk!".

love you" thing (Isn't there always?!)
Yeap!
The course of true love never did run smooth...

I think we can safely assume there will be no sequel...
