Because Disney own those rights internationally (for now anyway)
- that is hardly breaking news. Those years are not excluded
from the AMC deal because they contain an "effeminate gay child
grooming pervert"... I'm sure AMC would loved to have had them,
for continuity reasons if nothing else.
There are rumours that also say AMC will have the rights to the
new Doctor Who episode this Christmas, but the BBC have not
confirmed that. But clearly the BBC were in discussions with
overseas streaming partners for Doctor Who, as was pointed out
the other day. So the show is clearly not unsellable.
I suspect more discussions are going on behind the scenes to
help co-fund a new series. I don't think the BBC can afford to
go it alone with Doctor Who... regardless of what they say

I don't think so. They're not going to pay money for shit
no one is going to watch because there is no audience for it.

Given that there is no new series in the works and unless the
pieces of shit Davies, Gardner, Tranter, and Collinson, are
all 'fucking' sacked as per Christopher Eccleston's quite
reasonable demand, there's no coming back, and no one in their
right mind would fall for the same bait and switch again. The
show is completely unsellable.

The BBC would have to make the show first at its own expense
or sack the woke pieces of shit first and give full creative
and editorial control to whoever pays to produce it.

Because Disney own those rights internationally (for now anyway)

I do think so. As only having part of the new era means AMC+
subscribers will get a disconnect when they reach 2022 and want
to know what happens next after David Tennant is standing on
that cliff top after regenerating from Jodie Whittaker.
Of course, if they also subscribe to Disney+ that can switch
services and follow on (Doctor Who 2023-2025 is still there and
watchable).
Generally most services would consider it more ideal to have the
whole new era of the show in one place. AMC didn't choose to not
buy the three Tennant specials and the Ncuti Gatwa era of
Doctor Who because they didn't want it. It wasn't available for
them to buy! The fact that part of the show it's still streaming
on Disney+ in the US is proof of that.
There are rumours that also say AMC will have the rights to

RTD and Bad Wolf will go and there will be a new series of
Doctor Who in 2027/2028. Of that I would bet money on.

The BBC did wonders in the 1970's to produce something as
good as they did on a limited budget. The stories were really
good. Sure, they may not look the part compared to today's TV
shows but the stories back then were way more interesting and
enjoyable.

I've heard that the rise of international markets is part of the
problem. Visual spectacle doesn't have to be translated. There's also
the fact that appreciating spectacle is passive, while following a story >takes a smidgen of effort or at least attention.

Woozy Song is calling Blueshirt Bluey! Can you not read?
Pig's Arse, Asswipe(Word used by paedophiles to indicate their joy of child >sexual molestation coverup)!! "Can you not read?" .... Obviously the answer to
THAT question, asswipe(Word used by paedophiles to indicate their joy of child >sexual molestation coverup), is "No, YOU, asswipe(Word used by paedophiles
to indicate their joy of child sexual molestation coverup), can't READ!!"
Bluey is a kids cartoon series you idiot. That's a reasonable description of our "Asswipe(Word used by paedophiles

No, he wasn't. It literally said "kid's show."

I suspect more discussions are going on behind the scenes to
help co-fund a new series. I don't think the BBC can afford to
go it alone with Doctor Who... regardless of what they say
publicly.
When the budget was peanuts, the stories ruled.
I don't know if you consider the 'NewWho' (2005 - 2020) era as 'Good' or >what, but, for me, they were pretty descent (yes, even the JodieDoctor
era) .... and, as I understand it, that era were largely done by the BBC

I do miss the classic BBC, with the wobbly sets and incredible acting.
Ah!! The "Good Old Days!!".
The modern shows seem almost like American TV with a British accent. Then it could be just as well I missed them!!

As with the Disney deal, AMC+ would have to be paying A LOT
of money to equal, let alone beat, the money the BBC could
make by simply selling the show to regular broadcasters in
various countries like they used to. Such deals also heavily
restrict the number of people who can watch it, so it's always
going to be a bad deal for any show.
That's the way things are these days and it isn't going to
change, as the streaming services are not going away. In
fact, there's even more of them now... The BBC won't go back to
negotiating individual deals with multiple countries for their
TV shows when they can just sign a deal with a streaming partner
who can distribute their shows in multiple overseas territories.
Regular broadcasters are not top of the list anymore... they are
almost becoming a thing of the past.

Nope. The "Bluey" show is too new to have a Usenet newsgroup. :-)

If you haven't bothered getting Disney+, or asking your
relations that do have it to put it on for you, in the last
couple of years, I wouldn't think you are going to bother now.
However, you haven't missed much so I reckon it'll be safe
enough to carry with your day to day life...
