Is it time for the LNH to crash this party (or at
least wonder why Sig.ago is being called (let me
    get this right?) Chicago?)!
    HELL YEAH
    And is it time for
The Dvandom Stranger to correct people who
mistakenly call him Dave -- for that was another
time so long ago... and he must remain a...

After a week or so, somebody noticed. The plain that had been Chicago merely a single week before was swept by a chill wind, a wind that would have indicated a terrible loss and the presence of great evil in the world, except for the fact that it would have been there anyway, regardless of what minor human events had happened in the land that it swept dry. The great polluted lake also waxed fury, lashing the empty coast with waves of sewage, effluent of a city that no longer existed. The great monstrosity of the scenery, and the drama that attended it, was lost on the superheroes.
    Daaaaaaaaaang :o That's a good opening... ah! It's Paul Hardy. n.n
"Look. We have one missing city. We have one member disappearing in mysterious circumstances- although that`s nothing new in itself." The Ultimate
Ninja sounded tired. He deeply wished he were somewhere else, fighting a foe he could see, someone he could punch, gouge, slash, disembowel...
This is *absolutely* my characterization for him. n.n
Occultism Kid flinched for several good reasons, most of them hanging on UN`s sword belt, and looked imploringly at Cliche Dude, who said: "He has ways of making you talk." He sighed and began.

"Look, it's not occult. Weird, yes. Not occult. I`ve tried a few rituals- no psychic influence, no demonic posession, no nothing. All I can tell is that it`s dangerous to go in."
Hmmmmm yeah, that kinda makes sense, it's more a dimensional thing.
"So where did Chicago go, then?"
"Well, I suppose it went... in there..."
    heeheehee
UN sighed. Endless fight scenes. Interminable crossovers. Trying to keep the LNH under control. And now this. He could do without the hassle.
    Bad news bro
"Diane, it`s... 2:34 pm, and I`m approaching what used to be the centre
of Chicago. The satellite reports were right. No traffic jams in the windy city. The whole place seems to have disappeared. Strange.
    Oh yeah, this guy. X>
"Oh, great," said the Ultimate Ninja. "A trenchcoater. Just what we need." The man walked up to them.
"I`m Dale Cooper, FBI. You are...?"
a.) YEP it's just the character from Twin Peaks X>
b.) I don't think you can be a trenchcoater *and* work for the government.
"Strange. Have any of you gone in?"
"No. We think it might be dangerous."
    "What sort of danger?"
    "We don`t know."
"Great. Well, I`m going in." Cooper went up to the front door, and opened it. "Hmm. Smells like coffee." He went in.
"His problem. Let`s get back to the HQ," said the Ultimate Ninja.
...an odd reaction X3 And it just ends there!
LJ stumbled out of the bar, stil seeing stars. She blinked. There
was silence. No trenchcoaters arguing, no American revelers, no
    people, period.

She looked up, and saw a grey sky devoid of stars.
    oh lordy D:

"Oh shite..." She put a hand to her throbbing head, and tried to recall exactly what had happened. She groaned. "Grim's case. The damned thing
did something. Bugger all, where is everyone?" She turned back towards Buckets. "Kit?" She called out. Silence. "Bloody hell, *Kit*?"
    she yelled again.
ooooooh. Good sense of fear and loneliness
"Shite, Dave, don't sneak up on people like that." The Dvandom Stranger floated two feet off the ground, scowling.

"I am not Dave, nor will I ever be again. I a merely-"

    "A Stranger, right, I know.
    hehehehehe
"Which way is the bastard who did all this." Her dark eyes narrowed dangerously. For all her cavaleir attitude back in the bar, she was worried about Kit. He'd been hurt, maybe dying. Someone was going to pay bigtime
    if it came that far.
HELL YEAH-- tho also she didn't seem very worried about him being hurt
    before. X>; Ah well
Drew "I thought he could come back after dying but maybe not??" Nilium
