    well, anime and manga have become a normal part of the global mediascape
    over the last few decades. People who were into it as teens have become functional adults and now want to discuss the stuff they like with other people they know are interested.

    Well this is turning into a weekly feature it seems on Daily Kos.
    And i did not get into anime and manga until I was in my 60s about 27 years ago.
