Snoopy to stay with Apple TV+ until 2030

Apple TV+ has extended its deal for classic "Charlie Brown"
shows and to continue making new ones, for at least another
five years.

In 2019, Charles M. Shulz's famous hound's "Snoopy in Space"
was among the earliest shows on Apple TV+. Then in 2020, the
company signed a deal with rights holders Wildbrain and
Peanuts Worldwide, to bring Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and the
whole gang to screens in classics and new originals.

Now Apple TV+ has announced an extension of that deal in what
is the Peanuts gang's 75th year. The deal will see new shows
- including a Charlie Brown movie currently in production -
alongside all of the classics.

"In this milestone 75th anniversary year, it feels incredibly
meaningful to continue our collaboration with our brilliant
partners at WildBrain, Peanuts Worldwide and Lee Mendelson,"
Tara Sorensen, head of children's programming, Apple TV+,
said in a statement. "Our commitment, dedication and passion
for Peanuts runs deep."

"These beloved characters and stories hold a timeless
significance, resonating with people of all ages across the
globe," continued Sorenson. "And we are delighted that the
iconic holiday specials will be available for everyone to
experience, continuing this time-honored, comforting
tradition."

Continuing its policy of making Peanuts classics available to
watch for free, Apple has also announced this year's schedule
for the seasonal offerings:

- It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown will be free on
October 18, 2025 and October 19, 2025

- A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving streams on November 15
and November 16

- A Charlie Brown Christmas is free on December 13, and
December 14

One tradition that Apple is not continuing is how the Christmas
special used to air on PBS. Initially, Apple did licence an
airing on PBS, but stopped in 2023.

All three specials, and the entire Snoopy/Peanuts library, are
available year-round for Apple TV+ subscribers.
