    This could be worth watching ... sort-of Star Wars meets Sam Spade. :-)

    Ray Gunn
    --------
    The taller the skyscrapers, the longer the shadows.

    In Metropia, a gigantic city in an alternate future as seen
    from 1939, private eye Raymond Gunn and his alien companion
    Eyera are making a living on the edge of society, delving
    into secrets that some people would rather keep hidden away.
    After accepting a sleazy spy job related to pop-star
    Venus Nova, Gunn finds himself drawn into a murder mystery
    unlike any case he's taken.

    Trailer (2mins 37secs)
    <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VL-xjzQFWsY>

    Watch Ray Gunn - in select theaters December 4 and on
    Netflix December 18.

    Brad Bird, so there's a good chance (skipping over Tommorowland...)
