Disney+ Announces TV Show Fans Have Waited Years For,
Release Date Window Set

A brand new and long-awaited animated Disney+ TV show has been
announced. It's going to be based on a very popular fantasy book
saga.

What is the new Disney+ TV show and when is its release date window?
Disney+ has announced a new Warrior Cats animated TV show, based on
the beloved children's book saga. The news comes as part of a deal
between Coolabi Group and Disney Kids & Family.

Warrior Cats Disney+ TV show will be based on the iconic feline
fantasy book series that has become a worldwide publishing
phenomenon. The TV series is currently in production and will be
released at some point in 2028.

Original Force, which produces CG animation and game content, is
serving as the animation studio on behalf of Tencent Video.
A.C. Bradley, who is known for Ms Marvel, What If?, and Tales of
Arcadia: Trollhunters, will be the showrunner. Emmy Award-winning
Rodrigo Blaas will direct in collaboration with El Guiri Studios.

Speaking more of the Warrior Cats book saga, it's created by Working
Partners, a Coolabi Group company, and written under the pen name
Erin Hunter. The series follows several clans of wild cats. The
entire series has sold more than 90 million books to date. It has
been translated into 38 languages and has appeared on The New York
Times bestseller list for more than two decades.

Additionally, the official website for the book series has
maintained a massive fanbase over the last 20 years, with over
2 million annual users. Not to mention over 50 million views every
month across user-generated content on YouTube, and almost 3 billion
views on TikTok. There is also a Roblox game, Warrior Cats: Ultimate
Edition, which ranks among the platform's most popular branded games.

As for the Disney+ TV show, it will mark the first animated project
based on Warrior Cats. It will specifically focus on the first series
of the books, Warrior Cats: The Prophecies Begin.

Warrior Cats animated TV series has yet to receive an exact release
date for 2028.
