Toy Story 5 Trailer Previews Buzz Lightyear & Woody's Next Adventure

A new trailer for Toy Story 5 has been released.

Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar Animation's Toy Story 5 arrives this
summer. Directed by Andrew Stanton, the fifth film in the Toy Story
franchise will once again see Tom Hanks and Tim Allen voice their
respective Woody and Buzz Lightyear characters.

What do we see in the Toy Story 5 trailer?
The Toy Story 5 trailer sees Woody and Buzz Lightyear reunite for
a new adventure that involves a frog-like tablet named Lilypad,
who is voiced by Greta Lee. Also returning in the movie are Joan
Cusack as Jessie, Tony Hale as Forky, and more.

The synopsis for the movie reads, "The toys are back in Disney and
Pixar's Toy Story 5, and this time it's Toy meets Tech. Buzz, Woody,
Jessie, and the rest of the gang's jobs are challenged when they're
introduced to what kids are obsessed with today...electronics!"

Kenna Harris co-directs Toy Story 5, while Lindsey Collins serves as
a producer on the movie. Conan O'Brien is voicing a new character
named Smarty Pants, while Ernie Hudson is taking over the role of
Combat Carl. Combat Carl was voiced by Carl Weathers, who passed
away in 2024, in Toy Story 4.

Toy Story 5 will be released in United States theaters on June 19,
2025. The first four Toy Story movies, meanwhile, are currently
available to stream on Disney+.

While there are rumors floating around that more Toy Story movies
could follow after this new one, nothing has been confirmed or
announced by Disney or Pixar at this time. Having said that, Pixar
filmmaker and CCO Pete Docter did recently say that the company
plans on releasing one original film followed by one sequel in the
years to come, meaning more Toy Story films could certainly be a
possibility.
