    the Gulf states need much of their supplies to come via the Strait of
    Hormuz, which Iran has shut down?

    If you remember how Field Marshal Montgomery took down Erwin Rommel in
    North Africa during World War II -- the German soldier was a master
    strategist who left the Allies floundering. But his weakness lay in
    his supply lines from the home country -- once those were cut off, he
    had no option but to admit defeat.

    Seems the USA suffers the same weakness. History keeps repeating,
