So the Yanks are miffed that Volker T|+rk has been reappointed for
another four-year term as the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights --
and that this has happened with the overwhelming support of the vast
majority of the UN membership.

Who voted against? Countries who obviously are not so proud of their human-rights record, like North Korea, Russia ... and Israel ... and
the USA.

France, of course, lost no time in rubbing the YanksrCO noses in it. So
they threw a tanty -- how *dare* a country that respects democracy,
freedom of speech and the rule of law lecture them on human rights! So
they walked out of a Security Council meeting ... which had nothing to
do with the UN Human Rights Commission.

Of course the Dumbfuckistanis came back. Why didnrCOt they stay out?
Because then they wouldnrCOt get to exercise their veto, in case any
resolution came up that they might not like ...

So, for that reason, they are going to stay, and put up with the
jeers. They donrCOt have to like it, but thererCOs little they can do. Oh
dear, how sad, never mind ...
