The desire to go green/zero is starting to lose it following. It does seem
that there is more of a lack of desire in the public opinion than there has been. The forward momentem is slowing.

I wonder what 2026 has in store.

Partly because too many greedy businesses thought they could charge
more just because it's the "green" option. Same happens with "gluten
    free", "organic", etc.

That's because it is impossible, and all but the most ignorant and/or
    stupid know that.

That and the fact that the threat we face with global warming is not
something NZ can address. We could totally burden our economy with
global warming mitigation, but that would make no difference whatever
to warmer oceans, weather bombs etc. Cyclones such as Gabriel will
still happen and be just as ferocious.

My all means we should do our bit on this, but not until major
contributors (northern hemisphere countries) have started to do their
bit. We should follow, not lead.

We shouldn't "do our bit". It is never a good idea to buy into a
    fraud.

If there is fraud then the big countries like China etc. will find it
before they incur costs to fix it. As a follower, fraud will have
    been resolved before we act.

I suspect that the Chinese Communist Party are keen supporters of
those who perpetuate all the lies and deception surrounding "man made
    climate chage".

The Chinese government will be rubbing their hands with glee as they
watch western politicians, bureaucrats and the media buy into all the
bullshit and undermine the very energy security necessary to their own survival.
