• Winston Peters: Conduct Unbecoming A Foreign Minister

Winston Peters, supposedly Efc|Efc+ Foreign Minister, has launched a truly shocking attack on a fellow Member of Parliament of Efc?Efc| extraction, telling him he should go back where he came from and canrCOt speak
English properly and I donrCOt know what else.

Prime Minister Christopher Luxon has gone so far as describing Peters
as rCLattention-seekingrCY, but wonrCOt reprimand him any further than that.
Of course he canrCOt, because Peters is a leader of a party that is
crucial to holding up the current Government Coalition. But it is
really a bad look for a senior member of our Government, who is
supposed to be the face of our country overseas, to behave in such a
xenophobic and confrontational manner -- and to a fellow Efc|Efc+ citizen,
    at that.

Last I recall, Peters was actually better behaved when he was in
coalition with Labour under Jacinda Ardern. She seemed more capable of
keeping a leash on the NZ First party leader than Luxon has been able
    to manage.

Loony Larry is of course confusing the leasher with the leashee -- it
was Winston who kept the leash on Jacinda, not vice versa. Once the
brain-dead voters gave Jacinda full bore in 2021, we got unleashed
tyranny of the "velvet fist" variety, including creeping Maori rule..

In the upcoming post-election negotiations, I expect Luxon will want a
Nat-Lab coalition. Two things could derail this nefarious plan:
    (1) Luxon's MPs may well revolt and prevent Luxon's plan.
    (2) At the rate Luxon is bleeding Nat voters, Labour may well outpoll
the Nats, thus Chippy would demand the PM job. Oops, back to Winston
    and Seymour.

Of course he claimed he was merely excercising his right to rCLfreedom
of speechrCY in a rCLdemocracyrCY, which doesnrCOt exist in the country the MP in question originally came from.

But remember, such a right only applies to ordinary citizens speaking
for themselves. As a holder of a senior national-level public office, everything he says (particularly in the course of doing his job, as he
was here) gets interpreted as representing the position of the country
as a whole. And pronouncements that are seen as bigoted and arrogant
can become a gift to the very propaganda machine of the country he is
    trying to put down.

Not to mention, he seems to subscribe to the rCLlaw for thee but not for
merCY principle, in complaining about some protestors setting up a mock guillotine to execute an effigy of him -- he wants them prosecuted for exercising their own freedom of speech against him.

    Good grief ............ !!!!!!!!

    NEVER FORGET.
It was Winston that enabled the Red Witch.

If it wasn't for idiot Winstone's antics we would have had Bill
English as PM, and I'd like believe that NZ would be a in far better
place than the shambles the Red Witch, Dipkins and de Lux have
    produced..

I will never, ever vote for the Winstone First Party while he is
    alive.

    him.

In an interview with Stuff <https://www.stuff.co.nz/politics/361015064/turn-thing-peters-terminates-interview-after-just-96-secs>,
Peters took exception to a parallel being drawn between this protest
with the guillotine that he objected to, and one involving a noose
(and a written threat of violence) that took place during the hot mess
that was the Parliament Grounds loony-fringe occupation back in 2022.
In the latter, he didnrCOt seem to have any trouble going to talk with
the people behind that particular threat of violence.

In response to a question about this, Peters tried to claim the
Parliament Grounds mob were somehow more peaceful than the group
behind the guillotine protest. When the Stuff reporter tried to pursue
this line of questioning, Peters abruptly shut down the interview,
pulling the Trump trick of trying to blame the reporter for doing
something underhand, and ending with the words rCLpiss offrCY.

Maybe this kind of tactic works in the USA, where the media are rather
more submissive to those in power than here in NZ.

The last time I recall Peters demonstrating this sheer level of
arrogance with journalists, it wasnrCOt long before his entire party was
voted out of Parliament. If herCOs angling for history to repeat itself,
I donrCOt think he can do much better than this.

Ha! The Red Witch has cast a spell on you.

All that 'I'm the one source of truth' at the daily sermon
which you accepted, and now the Witch has saved NZ from calamity.

The Red Witch did not resign as PM. The labour party pushed
her out. Too toxic, even for them.

All IrCOm seeing is you double down on the huffing and puffing and chest thumping like I said, and simply spouting more ad-hominem attacks
instead of responding substantively to the facts.

Who was the one who has somehow been persuaded to ignore basic facts
that are right in front of their noses?

    Certainly not me.
