With few exceptions, none of us are posting regularly to these groups
now. I am using Agent, with news servers news.bbs.nz and news.eternal-september.org and there have been no postings in nz.gen
    since July 13.

Is there rally nothing of interest, or is there no-one left who is
interested in posting on daily or weekly events?

Yes the News groups are way quieter than they were say 15 years
ago. Binary usenet is still alive and well but text groups like this
have all but died and gone to the likes of facebook. I'm using
Agent version 1.91 for this. Still works on Win 11

At this point just a few months out from a general election no-one in
National is stupid enough to take Luxon on. They will wait until
after the election. If the next government does not include National
its a sure bet Luxon will be challenged immediately. If the next
government includes National then that challenge will come later.
Either way it is unlikely Luxon will last.

I also get frustrated with National. They made all the right noises
about fixing the problems that Labour bequeathed to them, only to
subsequently tackle 3-waters repeal and changing the direction of our schooling. Luxon lacks the courage to take on other more substantial
issues - probably scared shitless by what ACT and Seymour got dealt to
by opponents of the Treaty Principles Bill.

And I don't want to vote for any of the other parties
because they have nothing new to offer.

Yep. NZF is a vanity party. ACT is a bit too edgy for me.

NZ is not like the others Countries mentioned.

    1) We do not change our MP faster than at elections.
    2) NZ has a multi party system, which some others are taking note of.
3)The UK is like USA in that the restructing of society is collasping.
4)Oz likewaise, it has gone woke. While NZ has done so it is only 51/49
    5) The EU has gone wokeish it has great interia and is big allowing it to
make offers to the USA that it has trouble refusing.

Look for the differences not the similar aspects.
