If you have so many newsgroups as cross-posted then TB won't be able to
save the message as draft or send later. This has been the case for
    quite sometime!

Try with 3 or less newsgroups.

Your subject and the statement at the top of the body, do not match.

    This is an old one.

"Unable to save your message as a draft"

Let us say I cannot save as a Draft, and these are the newsgroups.
Further, let us say I know the groups are on paganini.bofh.team,
and that I have pag set up as one of my USENET servers.

    alt.comp.software.thunderbird
    alt.usenet.software
    news.software.readers

In older Thunderbird, to stop the error, you do this. This is a
URI format that Thunderbird recognizes, and it prevents
Thunderbird from looking at more than one server while posting.

    paganini.bofh.team/alt.comp.software.thunderbird
    paganini.bofh.team/alt.usenet.software
    paganini.bofh.team/news.software.readers

Now, when I Save As Draft, it works. Part of the
reason it works, is in the From: field, which is a
drop down menu, there is an entry per USENET server
that is set up. And I select

From: Username <fake@email> paganini.bofh.team <=== From line, matches URI modification

    *******

There are many reasons for this one.

    "Sending of the message failed."

But learning is hard, and especially when
    people helping you provide information
that is counter to your "plan". Try crossposting
to fewer groups. See if more posts go through.

For servers which are damaged or not maintained
any more, the Sending of the message can fail
because there is no disk space left to store the
    message on the server.
