i just tested this (winface.exe) in current windows 11 25H2 and it runs normally . . . i don't use "x-face", but some users may find it helpful

You can do that with the `uncompface` program. On Debian Linux you can
get it by doing `apt install compface`. For my Newsgrouper site I convert X-Face images to PNGs by piping them through:
"| uncompface -X | xbmtopbm | pnmtopng"

You may be able to get a Windows version of this from: https://gnuwin32.sourceforge.net/packages/compface.htm
