It's a web interface for usenet running on Rocksolid Light.

NovaBBS is connected with I2PN2, HenHanna, how are you getting the posts
into TB? Did you connect it with the nntp server for I2PN2?

If that's the case you might have to ask the sysop of both systems
(Retro Guy), it might be something wrong with his configuration.

It should not happen that articles would be available in the web interface that are not available from the nntp server (news.i2pn2.org) as the web interfaces sources the articles from the nntp server. Maybe the other way around could happen, but that's not the case.

I'm guessing HenHanna is using a different news server than i2pn2 with his Thunderbird config.

Nobody can really help unless he provides some message-ids.

According to HenHanna's headers they are posting and presumably
reading via Eternal-September. The missing articles may have been
cancelled at E-S; does i2pn2 use the same NoCeM config as E-S?

I apply e-s 'spam' NoCeM and dorfdsl NoCeM, but no others besides my own (i2pn2 NoCeM). I don't know which ones Ray applies.

I do run a more strict spamassassin on my reader server (news.i2pn2.org) that does not send NoCeM as it's meant to just maintain my own server the way I wish, but not impose my views on other servers (mostly crossposting abuse). This would not cause the issue HenHanna mentions as it would be reversed (not on novabbs, but in T-Bird).

Unless he lists some message-ids, no one can provide an accurate assessment of his issue.

early guess: It's to do with crossposting. Maybe Ray and you set the
crosspost limits at different levels and HenHanna is brushing against that.

That's possible, and makes sense. Mine isn't set very high.

Another thing I can think of is that i2pn2 filters binaries only by message size, not specifically whether it contains binary data. Small attachments
are allowed. Maybe Ray's binary filter is removing articles with small attachments. It is a binary filter so that would make sense, and would mean
the filter is working properly :)

I forgot to mention that I also use a Whitelist of regulars using this
