    Dear Users of the news server News.Individual.DE / News.Individual.NET,

    We hereby announce the discontinuation of the service as of 30 September 2027 (that is two years from now).

    Use of the service will no longer be possible after this date.

    Effective immediately, we will no longer accept new registrations for the service News.Individual.DE / News.Individual.NET.

    Additional information regarding the remaining two years has been sent to our existing users by e-mail.

    We wish to express our sincere gratitude for your rCo often many years of rCo use
    of this classic internet service via our server.

    That's pretty sad news to hear :(
    It was doomed to happen one day, and here it comes. Well, the good news
    is that, as a user of your news server since 2001, I'll still be able to
    make use of it for 2 more years. It has always worked perfectly for me,
    and I am very grateful to you and your predecessors for that, really!

    I hear they have this thing called mail. You put words on paper, fold
    it, place it in an addressed envelope, put a stamp on it then mail it,
    and magically, it gets delivered to its destination.

    That is too bad. I've used the service since 2013 (or maybe earlier). 10 euro/year was a good deal; I can't recall the server being down - ever -
    in all those years. So thank you for your excellent service. Very sad to
    see you go.

    I really hope you'd reconsider though. People who are fed up with
    "social media" are finding their way to Usenet or so it seems. It's not
    en masse, but new users nevertheless.
